Amolatar District was formed in 2005, when it was carved out of Lira District. The district is part of the Lango sub-region, together with the other seven districts listed below. Kidepo Valley National park: The third largest national park in Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is located in Karamoja, on your road trip to the center of Uganda, you really must stop at Kidepo Valley National Park.
