The effect was made to start from 1st December till 31st March ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority offered discount include the following;
50% discount on park entrance fee for Lake Mburo national park, Kidepo valley national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Semuliki national park, Murchison Falls national park, Toro Semuliki wildlife reserve, Kabwoya wildlife reserve and pain Upe wildlife reserve.
50% discount on birding fees have been reduced as well Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking permits for all kinds of visitors.
East African citizen gorillas tracking permits reduced from UGX250,000 to UGX150,000 per person per day.
Foreign Resident gorilla trekking permits price reduced from USD600 to USD300
Foreign Non-resident gorilla trekking permits reduced from USD 700 to 400USD
East African member resident chimpanzee tracking permits reduced from 150,00UGX to 100,000 UGX

How many days do I need to enjoy the discounted Gorilla permits on Uganda Safari?
This is a common asked questions to fellow travellers ever since the pandemic of COVID -19 came in existence. But before you travel to Uganda you’re required to have valid negative COVID-19 test certificate result done not more than 72 hours before their departure time and if you reach to Uganda you will have to do another test for COVID 19 from accredited laboratory to prove whether you really negative or positive, for this case you will need a short safari of a 4Days with 3 Nights gorilla trekking Uganda Safari. Uganda Gorilla Trekking Guideline-SOPs
At the entrance of the park you will need to sanitize your hands and the temperature will then be taken and recorded.
Before embarking for gorilla trekking you will first go for a briefing about dos and don’ts and you will be required to wash or sanitize your hands. Your temperature will be taken again and above 37.5 degrees Celsius won’t be allowed to trek gorillas.
Briefing is done in small groups of 8 people per trek and the moment a gorilla group have been found.
Trekkers are required to wear N95, surgical mask or a cloth mask with a filter. Those with N95 and surgical masks are advised to carry 2.
As you will be trekking, a travel is free to ask for break to catch fresh air through social distancing which will be strictly observed.
The moment you get closer to the Gorillas; you will be required to sanitise your hands again before you take place of viewing.
During this period, you are required to stay 10 meters away from the Gorillas.
