Entrance Fees for Kibale National Park
Entrance fees for Kibale national park are the amount of money that you pay in order to gain or to be allowed to access the park’s premises. As we all know that there is no protective area that you can enter without first paying any fee. Kibale National park sounds as the best primitive destination to tour in the entire East Africa, located in the south-western region approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive from Kampala the main city to access the main destination. Kibale national park is under the protection of the Uganda wildlife Authority and is on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.
However, entrance fees for Kibale national park are divided into different groups of entrance fees which include; vehicle fees, air crafts fees, individual park entrance fees and they are all charged depending on the status of the traveler. Note that, all park entrance fees are paid separately from activity charges.
Individual Entrance fees for Kibale national park
Foreign non-residents are entitled to pay USD40 as park entry fee to kibale national park
Foreign resident of Uganda is supposed to pay USD30 who is an adult and East African citizenship is charged UGX 20,000 to be able access the park.
The Ugandan pupils or students ‘’group’’ each pupil is supposed to pay UGX 3000 to enter the park.
The tertiary institutions /Universities each is entitled to pay UGX 5,000 to enter the park.
The Uganda wildlife clubs each is entitled to pay UGX2,000 in order to be able to enter the park.
Annual park entrance fees
To note, each Uganda’s national park has got annual entry fees where one can choose to pay for full-year down in order to avoid inconvenience at the park entrance, and the annual entrance fees are applied to only members of the East African citizens and foreign residents of Uganda. Below are the annual park entry charges for 2020 up to 2022 as follows;
The foreigner resident of Uganda is supposed to pay USD 350and East African citizenship is entitled to pay UGX 150,000 annually.
The couple of foreign resident of Uganda are entitled to pay USD500 and couple of East African community is supposed to pay UGX200,00 annually.
Note that, a family of foreign resident with maximum of 4 children is charged USD 700 and for the East African citizenship are entitled to pay UGX 300,000as an annual basis.
The corporate groups of the foreign resident of Uganda is entitled to pay USD1,500 as annual entrance fees for kibale national park.
The East African members is entitled to pay UGX2,500,000 in kibale national park annually for the corporate groups.
The safari guides are supposed to pay UGX100,000 on an annual basis.
The taxi driver who is a member of East Africa is entitled to pay UGX 100,000 annually.
The tour company drivers don’t pay for annual fees, just enter the park at no cost.
Entrance fees for vehicle
Vehicle entry fee depends on the type of cars you’re using could be the size of the vehicle and also the duration of the time matters in the park because charges differs on type of the can and time used.
Saloon car entrance fees
The saloon cars for foreign nonresident travelers to kibale national park are supposed to pay USD 40 Per day and foreign resident of Uganda with saloon will pay USD 10 East African member with saloon car is charged UGX20,000
Motorcycle entrance fees for the parking
The foreign nonresidents of Uganda with motor cycles are entitled to pay USD30 and foreign resident of Uganda is supposed to pay USD5 and UGX 10,00 for the motor-cycles vehicle that are registered for the East African member.
For the minibuses to enter Kibale national park owned by foreign nonresidents are charged a fee and the foreign resident of Uganda pay USD 50 as a vehicle entrance fees to kibale national park, Foreign resident of Uganda with mini buses are entitled to pay USD 15 and East African member is supposed to pay UGX30,000 as vehicle parking fees.
School buses entrances fees
The school buses for foreign resident of Uganda are met to pay USD25 as a vehicle parking fees.
The East African citizenship with school buses are entitled to pay 50,000 for vehicle parking fees.
Pickups and 4-wheel drive;
Foreign nonresident with pick-ups are entitled to pay USD50, foreign residents of Uganda is supposed to pay USD15 and UGX 30,000 for East African member as vehicle park entry fees.
Tour company vehicle with 4WD for entrance fees
The tour company vehicle with 4-wheel drive for foreign nonresidents are titled to pay USD150, then the foreign resident pays USD 15 and the East African member with tour company vehicles are entitled to UGX 30,000 for vehicle park entry fees.
Buses and lorries entry fees for parking.
Foreign nonresidents with buses and lorries are supposed to pay USD150, Foreign residents with buses and lorries are entitled to pay USD75 and the East African member with buses and lorries are charged UGX150,000 as vehicle park entry fees.
Overlanders
The foreign nonresident with overlanders are supposed to pay USD150, foreign resident with over landers are charged USD50 and the East African citizenship are supposed to pay UGX100,000 as vehicle entry fees.
Delivery vehicle per entry
Foreign residents of Uganda to deliver vehicles per entry are chargedUSD10 and East African community member entitled to pay UGX20 ,000 as a delivery vehicle per entry.
Aircrafts Landing fees.
Here, pilots who stay in the park for less than two hours, they will have to pay park entrance fees but not paying landing fees because it’s not included in entry fees, it is to be paid by the travelers.
Flight Up to 3 seater
Ugandans will pay UGX 20,000 for the entry landing fee at Kibale national park.
The East African member is supposed to pay a charge of USD20 only as a landing fee to the park.
Foreign non-residents are charged USD 20 per person in order to land in kibale national park.
Flight 4 up 6 seater
A foreign nonresident is entitled to pay USD30 as a landing fee at kibale national park.
Foreign resident of Uganda is charged USD 30 for entry landing fees at kibale national park.
Ugandans are supposed UGX60,000 in order to land in kibale.
Flight 7 to 14 seater
Foreign nonresident is met to pay USD 40 as landing entry fees and foreign resident is charged USD40.
Ugandan pay UGX 80,000 as entry fee for landing at kibale national park.
15-20 seater
Foreign nonresident is supposed to pay USD50 as a landing entry fees and foreign resident is expected to USD50 as flight landing fee at kibale national park.
Ugandans are requested to pay UGX120,000 as entry landing fees at Kibale national park.
21 seaters and above
Foreigner nonresident are entitled to pay a fee of USD 60 and foreigner residents of Uganda pay USD 60 only.
Helicopter
Foreigner nonresident pay USD100 and foreign resident of Uganda are charged USD125 and East African citizenship pay UGX250,000 only.
The parking fees per day for the East African community are charged a fee of UGX10,000 only.
Travelers should note this below;
- Travelers should present in their valid identification documents in order to verify their status.
- All fees must be quoted in US /United States Dollar and UGX /Uganda shillings.
- Entry ticket for the day must be valid after 24hours beyond that time you will be charged an extra day.
- Persons below 5 years are exempt.
- Entrances are exclusive from park activities.
- Foreign residents of Uganda and East African citizens are the only citizens met to pay for vehicle entrance separately.
- The Foreign residents in Uganda are required to present in their working permit valid for one year in order to qualify for an annual pass.
- Foreign non-residents are required to submit in their passport in order to access the park then East African citizens are expected to present in their national identification cards in order to access all the park.
