Park Entry Fees for Kidepo National Park

Park Entry Fees for Kidepo National Park are the charges that a traveler must pay for him or her to access the park for their activites / Park entry fees is the amount of money paid by the travelers to be able to access the national park in order to engage in the activities done. The park entry fees in Uganda are collected by the body governing all the protected national parks known as Uganda Wildlife Authority and the money collected is meant to develop the national park, the surrounding communities, schools among many other activities that can develop the region.

Kidepo Valley National Park is located in the north-eastern region of Uganda in the semi-arid Karamojong region which is approximately 600 kilometers by road from the northeast of Uganda’s capital city Kampala. The park entry fees for Kidepo National Park are categorized into 3 structures that is visitors, adults, and children.

The foreign resident is entitled to pay USD 30 to access the park per day.
The foreign non-resident is expected to pay park entry fees at a cost of USD 40 in order to enter the park.
Children who are East African residents are entitled to pay UGX 5000 per child to enter kidepo valley national park, the foreign resident is expected to pay USD 10 and non-foreign residents is expected to pay USD 20 to access the park.

There are also annual park entry fees paid yearly and its only residents and East African members who are meant to pay the park entry fees;

The individual resident is entitled to pay park entry fees at a cost of UGX 150,000 to enter kidepo valley national park.
The individual foreign resident is entitled to pay park annual entry fees at a fee USD 300 per person annually in kidepo valley national park.
A couple of forest residents are entitled to pay UGX 200,000 to enter the park on an annual basis.
The foreign resident is expected to pay the park entry fees at USD 500 on an annual basis.
The family of a maximum of 4 East African members are entitled to pay UGX300,000 as annual park entry.
The family of foreign residents with a maximum of four members are supposed to pay USD700 as park annual entry fees.
The tour operator who is East African citizen is entitled to pay UGX125,000 for park annual entry fees.
The foreign resident entitled to pay USD50 as annual park entry fees.
The tour company driver is expected to pay a fee at UGX100,000 to enter the park on an annual basis.

Annual corporate pass

The foreign resident who are annual corporate are meant to pay USD 1,500 as annual entry fees.
The East African members who is annual corporate is supposed to pay UGX 2,500,000 on an annual basis.
The annual corporate safari guide is entitled to pay UGX 100,000 annually in order to enter kidepo valley national park.

The vehicle, boat landing, aircraft, and entry fees. To note, the entry fee charged per vehicle excludes park entry fees.

Motor Cycles:

The motorcycles for Ugandan is entitled at a fee of UGX100,000 to enter Kidepo valley national park.
The East African member is expected to pay USD 5 to access the park.
The foreign resident is supposed to pay USD 30 to enter kidepo national park

Saloon cars:

The Ugandan saloon cars are entitled to pay UGX 20,000 to enter the park.
The East African member is expected to pay a fee of USD10 to enter kidepo valley national park.
The foreign resident is supposed to pay USD40 for park entry to kidepo national park.

Minibusses:

The Ugandan national with minibusses is meant to pay UGX30,000 in order to enter kidepo valley national park.
The East African member is entitled to pay USD15 access kidepo valley national park.
The foreign resident with minibuses is expected to pay USD50 to enter kidepo valley national park.

Pickups and 4WD vehicles

The Ugandan with 4WD vehicles is entitled to pay UGX30,000 as a park entry fees to enter kidepo national park.
The East African member is expected to pay USD 15 to access the park
The foreign resident is supposed to pay US 50 as park entry fees at kidepo valley national park.

Tour Company vehicles

The tour company vehicle for Ugandan is meant to pay UGX 30,000 for park entry fees.
The East African is supposed to pay USD 15 to enter kidepo.
The foreign resident with the tour company vehicle is entitled to pay USD 120 to enter the Kidepo valley national park.

Buses and Lories:

The Ugandan national with bus or lorry is entitled to pay UGX150,000 as park entry fees to enter kidepo.
The East African member is supposed to pay USD75 to enter kidepo.
The foreign resident is expected to USD150 as park entry to enter kidepo national park.

School buses:

The Ugandan national with school buses is entitled to pay a fee UGX5000 of park entry to enter kidepo valley national park.
The East African is entitled to pay USD25 as park entry fees at kidepo valley national park.

Delivery vehicles per entry:

Ugandan national is supposed to pay UGX 20,000 to enter kidepo valley national park.
East African member is entitled to pay USD 10 as park entry fees to kidepo.

Boats up to 15 seaters:

Ugandan by national is expected to pay UGX 50,000 to enter the park.
East African member is supposed to pay USD 25 as an entry fee to kidepo.
A foreign resident is entitled to pay USD 50 to enter kidepo.

The Ugandan national is entitled to pay UGX150,000 as park entry fees.
The East African members are supposed to pay USD75 as park entry fees.
The Foreign resident is supposed to pay USD100 for park entry fees to kidepo.

The Aircrafts landing fee

The Aircraft landing fee is excluded from entry fees paid by travellers, pilots who stay less than two hours are not charged with park entry fees.

Microlights,

The Ugandan national is entitled to pay UGX 20,000 as aircraft landing fees in kidepo.
The East African member is entitled to pay USD 10 for land fees in kidepo valley national park.
The foreign resident is supposed to pay USD 10 for entry landing fees in kidepo.

Up to 3 seater

The Ugandan national is entitled to pay UGX40,000 to enter the park.
The foreign resident is expected to pay a fee of USD20 to access kidepo valley national park.

4-6 Seater

The Ugandan national is charged a fee of UGX60,000 as landing fees.
The East African member is charged USD30 for landing fees.
The Foreign resident is entitled to pay USD30 for landing fees to kidepo.

7-14 seater

Ugandan national is expected to pay UGX 80,000 for landing fees.
East African member is supposed to pay USD 40 for aircraft landing fees.
The foreign resident is charged USD 40 for aircraft landing fees in kidepo valley national park.

14 -21 Seater,

The Ugandan national is entitled to pay UGX100,000 for landing fees in the park.
The East African member is charged USD50 for landing fees in the park.
The Foreign resident is entitled to pay a fee of USD50 as a landing fee.

21 Seater and above

Ugandan is expected to pay UGX120,000 as a landing fee.
East African member is entitled to pay USD60 as landing fees.
The foreign resident is supposed to pay USD60 as landing fees.

Helicopter,

The Ugandan national is expected to pay UGX250,000 as a landing fee.
The East African member is expected to pay USD125 as a landing fee to kidepo.
The foreign resident is entitled to pay is supposed to pay USD100 as landing fee to kidepo national park.
The parking fee per day is entitled UGX5000.

Documents that can verify your personal identity in order to be allowed to access the park.

Working permits; Foreign residents in order to be allowed to enter the park, you should be holding a valid working permit.
Passport; Foreign non-resident are required to present in their national passport in order to enter the park.
National identification cards; East African members are required to present in their IDs at the gate in order to get permission to enter kidepo valley national park.

Kidepo park entry fees are valid within 24 hours and you should note that the park entry fees are paid separately from park activities.
