Although to some tipping is not obligatory but many tourists do leave tips and this extra money helps to support the income of people working in the tourism industry.
Tipping your safari guides –Gorilla trekking tips
As travelers you may be wondering how much can I tip the guides ; however for the guides you can tip between USD10 to USD20 per day per guest and porters USD5 to USD10 and for the private driver you tip someone USD20 to USD30 per day for the group .But if you wish to tip them even beyond the above mentioned amount of tipping them ,through preparing tips in separate envelopes for each camp ,then put this into the gratuity box at the end of your stay at the camp or lodge or give it hand in hand.
