What to Pack for a Safari in Uganda

Please note this, packing for a safari is to take along the right gears that will be helpful for you while on Uganda safari. Above all, here are some useful things you shouldn’t leave behind such as passport, your airline ticket, your immunization cards and some cash.

For a traveler planning a safari in Uganda always figure out what you should carry considering the season your visiting the country, could be peak season or shoulder or low season. But the most thing is to be comfortable enough and sensible unlikely to be offended. Uganda is not a very conservative dressing style country. On your safari to Uganda in peak season which starts from June to October and December to February, consider protection from the sun as the list goes;

For your gorilla trekking safari always carry these essential things such as long pants/trousers and tall socks that can tuck your pants in. This works totally the best. You can still carry the breathable long sleeve button down shirts which are ideal.

In the morning hours it can be cool inside the forest, up the mountains and gets hot once in the while when you start hiking. So carry your gloves, gardening things which may not be considered on safari yet useful. These things they help you to prevent from touching the thorns, tough hike, vines. Without them, your hands may get a little ripped up by the end.

  • First Aid Kit including thermometer, gas-relief tablets, antacid, antidiarrheal medicine, antihistamine for allergies, bandages, mild laxative, non-aspirin pain relief among others.
