What tours and safaris can I have outside the Nam Summit? NAM Summit is the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) forum that will be held this January in Uganda’s Capital Kampala between the 15th and 22nd of January 2024. The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is the largest grouping of states worldwide and draws from the principles agreed at the Bandung Conference in 1955.
NAM was established in 1961 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia through the initiative of President of Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito, President of Egypt Gamal Abdel Nasser, Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru, President of Indonesia Sukarno, and President of Ghana Kwame Nkrumah. The organization consists of about 120 member states, including the non-UN member state of Palestine, as well as 17 other observer countries and 10 observer organizations.
Uganda will host the NAM 19th Summit in Kampala this January and apart from the heads of states coming to be a part of this summit we know the summit we have lots of other person who will be part of the summit in their different capacities.

2 days Jinja tour
The two days jinja tour will give you the chance to enjoy natural beauty of the vegetation and the landscape. In these two days you will have a chance to tour the Mabirra forest for bird watching, zipling and forest nature walks; You will then move on to visit the source of the Nile – this is one of those surreal moments, you get to be at the spot where the Nile starts. The Nile is the longest river in Africa with a length of 6650 km. From the source of Nile experience you can spend the next day at the Itanda falls bungee jumping and white water rafting among other things.
3 days Jinja and Sipi falls
Still staying in Eastern Uganda, you get to visit the magnificent sipi falls in Kapchwora and if you have time on your hands you can have a tour of tybet stadium where some of uganda’s celebrated runs get to practice from. After the sipi falls or your kapchwora trip you will now head back to jinja for an itanda falls experience – bungee jumping and white water rafting then spend your 3 day in the region exploring the source of the Nile before you retire and ahead back to kampala.
3 days gorilla trekking safari
In 3 days you get to take a road trip to south western Uganda to see the most intriguing creatures in the wild, the mountain gorillas. Uganda is one of three countries with the mountain gorillas so you hit a jack pot on this experience. Mountain gorilla trekking is done in either Bwindi National Park and Mgahinda National Park both in South Western Uganda. On this safari you will be visiting either of these parks for the experience. You will spend a day on the road get to either park , rest and then the next morning be up early for your mountain gorilla trekking adventure. You will go into the forest climb up to where the gorillas are, when you find them you will spend 1 hour in their presence and then after descend the mountainous forest back to your accommodation for the day’s rest. You will then use the next day back to Kampala.

3 days chimpanzee safari
Like the mountain gorilla safari, this is one safari we feel will give you another great primate wonder experience. It’s exactly similar to the mountain gorilla trekking experience, just that in this case you are trekking chimpanzees. You spend on day on the road then arrive in Kibaale National Park where you will spend the night and then go for your chimpanzee trekking experience the next day. After trekking you can go for a bird watching spree in the Bigodi swamps before you rest for the day. The next day you will set off to Kampala.
