  1. Walking or trekking; as mentioned rhino tracking is done on long treks you will spend a considerable amount of time walking through the park and you see the rhinos.
  2. To see rhinos; depending on the park you are visiting you will see rhinos both black and white rhinos. Some parks have only one type but still, you will see rhinos.
  3. Early start to the day; tracking experiences are usually done early in the morning. So, expect to be up early for your tracking experience. You will hopefully begin. The trek is at around 7 am or 7:30 am. The beauty of doing this in the morning is the sun won’t come out hot on you. You will usually be done by noon.
  4. Expect tracking rules; like for everyone’s tracking experience, there are rules to be followed so you should be ready to follow the rules that include but are not limited to:- staying in your tracking group for the safety and conservation of the animals, maintaining silence and quiet when you are in the presence of the rhinos, not attempting to touch or disrupt the rhinos peace in anyway, not touching the rhinos, keeping a recommended distance between you and the rhinos, listening to your guides as they take you around among other things.
