1 Day Source of the Nile tour
1 Day source of the Nile tour is a short tour that takes travellers to the Eastern region of Uganda in well-developed Jinja town that is economically stable, the only location to the world’s longest River famously known as Source of the Nile. This 1-day source of the Nile is combined with amazing touristic activities such as exploring Jinja town above all you explore the beauty of the Nile, take a boat cruise. You will also do forest walk in the Mabira forest along Jinja road in Buitwe district and end up with memorable experiential on Jinja tour.
Detailed Itinerary
Depending on your location, our English driver will pick you up from the hotel but will first brief you about the 1-day tour to Source of the Nile then after you will depart to the Source of the Nile which is located in Eastern direction of Uganda in Jinja district which is approximately 2:10 hours by road from Kampala the capital city to Jinja.
On your way heading to the Nile you will have a stopover at Mabira forest which sits in Buikwe district to do guided nature forest walk where you will be able to see monkeys, tree species among others. After your nature walk, you will continue to Jinja town for picnic lunch.
After lunch, go for a boat cruise on the River Nile, an experience that takes 1 to 2 hours while cruising on the calm water of the Nile. During your boat cruise, you will be able to view a number of water birds like kingfisher, animals like monitor lizards, crocodiles along the shores of the Nile and also enjoy the admirable sunset in the evening.
After the boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver to transfer you back to Kampala City
