3 Days Uganda luxury gorilla habituation safari

The 3 Days Uganda luxury gorilla habituation experience ( Uganda gorilla safari)  is an up-market trip to Bwindi which involves flying for only 2 hours as compared to driving which takes 8-9 hours on the road, staying in luxurious lodges providing all amenities and doing the most expensive experience which is Gorilla habituation experience. Bwindi impenetrable national park is a UNESCO heritage site situated in western Uganda, Bwindi impenetrable national park is famous for offering the amazing gorilla trekking in the deep forested sector of the park and it is a home of half of the remaining mountain gorillas in world while the other half are found in Volcanoes national park in Rwanda and Virunga National park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is only in Bwindi forest where we find both habituated and non-habituated mountain gorillas and visitors can only get the habituation experience only in Bwindi. This is a simply and interesting safari however very expensive and its best for honeymooners and visitors who do not mind spending a lot of money for only 3 days for a luxury life once in a life time.

Detailed itinerary         


This first day of the safari, requires you to have already arrived in Uganda the previous day for a morning flight or arrive early morning on this very day for an afternoon flight to Bwindi. Aerolink Uganda is the best local airline operating daily flights to Uganda’s national park. For flights to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, there are 2 scheduled flights at 7:00 am and 12:00 pm flying to Kihihi airstrip and only one flight at 7:00 am flying to Kisoro airstrip.

Since Gorilla habituation experience only takes place in Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable national park, you will, you will find your way to Entebbe airport very early to check in for the 7:00 am flight to Kisoro airstrip which takes 2 hours to land and given that it is the nearest airstrip to this sector.

Upon arrival at Kisoro airstrip, you will meet your safari guide waiting to take you to your booked accommodation where you will have your lunch. Later afternoon, you will spend your day at leisure as your prepare for the next day activity, have dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up very early to a delicious breakfast before you drive off to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla habituation expectations at 7:00. Ensure you carried your packed lunch and water and well dressed for this trekking experience in comfortable trekking gears. Later connect to the starting point of trek in the forest along with your armed ranger guides. You will be visiting wild mountain gorillas that are not under complete habituation and a lot is to be expected so you must be prepared for any good or bad experiences. These gorillas are usually shy and very defensive when provoked so the need to follow the guidelines of the rangers is very important. It is a full day experience as you are taken through the whole process of habituation and eventually you get to see the gorillas for about 4 hours in their presence while you get to know them more vividly.  Later in the evening, return to meet your safari after receiving your certificate of the experience and drive back to your lodge relaxation with good memories of the mountain gorillas, dinner and overnight stay at accommodation as above


Wake up every early for breakfast, check-out of the lodge to transfer to Kisoro airstrip of your return flight to Entebbe airport with only the available 7:00 am flight. Your safari guide will drop you off at the airstrip on time then proceed to Entebbe airport. On arrival at Entebbe airport, you can either find your way top your own booked hotel or wait for your onward flight back to your home country. End of the safari.

What to pack for this trip

  • Good hiking shoes
  • Long light pants, long sleeved shirts and long stockings (to tack in your pants),
  • Rain Jacket
  • A hat and sun glasses
  • Good gardening gloves.
