5 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari is a combined Uganda primate’s safari tour package that leads you to south-western region of Uganda. The safari trip takes you to two national parks where you will be able to trek Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park and Chimpanzees tracking in Kibale Forest National Park. Our first visiting tourist destination will be Kibale National Park that sounds as a primitive capital ,located in western Uganda and it’s one of the most outstanding rain forest in Africa to inhabits large population of chimpanzees with over 5000 where you will never be disappointed to observe these creatures. The park has more than 19 habituated gorilla families which are splinted in four sectors; Ruhija, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Buhoma sector and it’s you a traveller to be selective which gorilla family you prefer to trek in, from Kabale national park is approximately 4hours driven to access Bwindi national park. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale national park
Transfer to Kibale National Park: Depending on your point of location, our driver/guide will pick you up take you through a short briefing about the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas & Chimpanzees Safari Tours. Then set off to Kibale national park a journey that takes 5 to 6 hours’ drive to reach their starting from Kampala. Travel by road transport is really amazing as you will be able to pass via Lake Albert escarpments and enjoy the rewardable views of the lake. You will have a stopover in Hoima for lunch Enroute. After Lunch proceed driving towards the park will passing through the traditional villages and you will be able to enjoy the beautiful vegetation cover around, have good moments through taking photos. Embark to the journey to fort portal and enjoy the foot hills of the Rwenzori mountains and then continue direct to Kibale national park. Arrive at the park, check in at the lodge. If you reach the park early evening, you will visit the scenic crater lakes and have a chance to check out the terraced tea states. After drive back to the lodge to freshen up, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi wetlands
Chimpanzee Tracking: You will wake up, have breakfast served with cookies at the lodge. Your drive will come for you from the lodge with your packed lunch box, drives you to the meeting point for a short briefing about chimpanzee rules. After briefing you will meet the range to lead you to the forest trail heads to track the chimpanzees, the track can last for about 30 to 7 hours depending on their location in the forest, as you will be tracking, you will have another chance of seeing other primates in the forests such as monkeys like red tailed, Black and white colobus monkeys, grey checked Mangabey, bush babies, listen to sweet melodies of birds singing up on the trees. The more you continue to track you will listen for their pant hooting calls which will help you notifies them, then head to the place from which they replied from. Once are found, you will be given one hour to watch them as they feed, play grooming their young one as well as socializing with each other’s.
Visit Bigodi wetland: After Chimpanzee trekking, your ranger will lead you to visit Bigodi swamp which is also a good place to view primates and birds. This is a place cared by the local people to earn a living from there. You will enjoy very many notable birds such as great blue turaco among others, others primates to see here include; the baboons, mongoose, otters, bush big and bush bucks. Back to the same lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable: Wake up early, have breakfast, check out from the lodge and drive out of the Kibale national park. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park via Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth national park were you will be able to view many unique tree climbing lions. This is one of the three places where you will view tree climbing lions. You will also view many animals such as monkeys, kobs, antelopes, birds and many more. Arrive at the park in the afternoon in time for lunch, check in at the lodge and have lunch.
Visit the Batwa Pygmies: Later on, go visit the Batwa pygmies who used to leave with mountain gorillas in the forest, learn about their amazing life style, listen to their rewarding stories among others. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla Trekking: You wake up early, enjoy your coffee tea served with snacks at the lodge. After proceed to the park headquarters with your packed lunch box because the trek can last 2 to 8 hours while in their nature habitants, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Meet the ranger to company you to the rain forest trail head to begin your search for the great apes which are said to have 98% of human genes. This walk can sometimes be tough; it needs someone to be strong while wearing comfortable shoes. Trekkers are advised to carry their warm rain coats and boots because the weather there is unpredictable, potters are always around to help visitors to carry their luggage but at a small fee. Once the habituated gorilla family you’re met to trek in is found, you will be given one hour face to face contact with them and the ranger will be at hand to guide you. After trekking, return to the lodge do refreshment, dinner and overnight stay in the same lodge you slept in Bwindi.

Day 5: Return to Kampala /Airport
Return to Kampala: Wake up on leisurely day, have breakfast served with cookies at the lodge. After transfer to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for picnic lunch. Then proceed the journey with another stopover at the equator have temperature experiments as well as taking some photos. Proceed to Kampala to be dropped off to your hotel or at Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.
