7 Days Jinja, Sipi falls and Kidepo Wildlife adventure takes you to Jinja town the home of the source of the Nile River, Sipi falls found on the foothills of Mount Elgon and Kidepo national park the most spectacular and exciting wildlife safari park in Uganda. This trip starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe depending on your schedule. This trip is basically for relaxation of the body and mind form the daily life of an individual.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Jinja City

Transfer to Jinja City: Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will meet our safari guide for the whole trip to embark on your morning drive to Jinja City. Jinja is located in the Eastern part of Uganda and it is famously known as a home of the mighty River Nile. It is a 3 hours’ drive from Kampala with beautiful views of the landscape and its people. You will have an opportunity to take as many photos as you wish given the beauty of the countryside. Arrive in Jinja early afternoon; proceed to check-in your accommodation. Have your lunch and after connect for Jinja town excursion and visit the Source of River Nile and take a boat trip on Lake Victoria. This is interesting to experience! In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Half-day Jinja tour and transfer to Sipi falls

Half-day Jinja tour and transfer to Sipi falls: Wake up to a delicious breakfast at your hotel; proceed to explore bit more of Jinja attractions like the Itanda falls and other historical and water activities. Options to choose from include; white water rafting, mountain biking, Horseback riding. After doing any of your interested activities, transfer to Sipi falls in further in the Eastern region of Uganda on the foothills of Mountain Elgon with en-route lunch. Sipi falls are located in Kapchowra district. These falls comprise of 3 waterfalls with the highest fall dropping at 100m, second highest at 80m and third highest at 70m. Upon arrival in Kapchowra in rolling hills of the area in the evening, proceed to check-in your hotel/lodge close to the falls and with great views of the hills for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Visit Sipi falls and Coffee plantation

Visit Sipi falls and Coffee plantation: Wake up to a delicious breakfast at your lodge before you transfer to Sipi falls for your hiking experience. You will be provided a local guide who will lead you to the falls. Depending on your ability, you can hike up to the third waterfalls, or second or just the first or even to all. This is refreshing moment of this trip after visiting the Sipi falls. Return to have lunch then connect for a coffee plantation visit given that the area is best known for producing Arabic Coffee and get a chance to buy and taste the Uganda Coffee. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at booked lodge above

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo national park

Transfer to Kidepo national park: As early as 6 am, after your early morning breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Kidepo valley national park. The park is located in the far North Eastern part of Uganda taking about 7-8 hours’ drive from Sipi falls in Kapchowra. The drive is spectacular with great views of the countryside and as you approach Karamonja region. You will have en-route lunch and upon reaching the park late afternoon, you will be cleared at the entry and proceed to your accommodation for check-in. Kidepo national park is very beautiful with incredible views of the mountains and hills. Dinner will be served at your convenience

Day 5: Morning and afternoon/evening game drive in Narus valley

Morning and afternoon/evening game drive in Narus valley: After breakfast, drive to the wild for your morning game drive and explore the park in Narus valley. After lunch, you will visit on of the communities around the park for a community tour, learning about the Karamojong culture and tradition. Later in the evening connect for another rewarding game drive where you are guaranteed of most of the animals like the zebras, buffaloes, elephants, on lucky days the lions, cheetah, leopards and hyenas. Before nightfall, drive back to your lodge to rest, have dinner and overnight stay again as above

Day 6: Game drive in Kidepo valley – Hot springs visit

Game drive in Kidepo valley – Hot springs visit: After breakfast, drive for a game drive in Kidepo valley in anticipation of seeing some of the animals, the Ostrich birds and also visit the hot springs of Kanangorok before you return to your lodge. Spend the rest the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe and Departure

Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe and Departure: After breakfast in the morning, embark on your journey back to Kampala, it’s quite a long drive from Kidepo national park to Kampala take about 10-12 hours on road with en-route stops to refresh and lunch. Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe late evening and connect to your advised location or proceed to Entebbe airport to check-in for your flight back home.
