7 Days Uganda Adventure Safari : This 7 Days Uganda Adventure Safari covers part of Uganda’s national parks including, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, Mgahinga national park and Semuliki national park.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park is one of Uganda’s oldest national park with diverse rainforest of over 25,000 years ago and contains about 400 plant species. Bwindi Impenetrable national park inhabits half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world and it is divided into 4 sectors including; Buhoma sector which is the oldest trekking sector, Rushaga sector which has the largest number of gorilla families, Ruhija sector and finally Nkuringo sector.
Queen Elizabeth national park is located in the western part of Uganda offering the great experience of different Antelope species. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to the tree climbing lions in Uganda. The park is occupied by 2 great lakes – Lake Edward and Lake George which meet at a channel commonly known as the Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth national park has plenty of animals and other experiences to be enjoy while on your stay in Uganda ranging from wildlife, culture, boat cruise to nature walks for bird watching and chimpanzee trekking.
Semuliki national park and reserve is located in Bundibugyo district near Fort portal town adjust to Congo Ituri rain forest. The park is mainly known as home to Uganda’s largest hot springs which consist of male and female with an interesting history. These hot springs are one of a kind in Africa and visiting them is one of the most rewarding experiences in Uganda. Semuliki national park also has about 53 mammal species and over 400 bird species recorded in this park thus making it one of the top birding destination in Africa earning a title of “True birders Haven”
Kibale Forest National park on the other hand as another destination to visit while on this 5 Days Uganda Safari, is one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of natural rain forests in Uganda protecting up to a total of 70 mammal species and 13 species of primates including the endangered chimpanzees with an are coverage of about 795 square kilometres and with the lowest point of about 1,100 meters on the floor of the Albertine Rift Valley to the south. Kibale forest national park is located in the western part of Uganda in Kabarole district and is the only park where we find the world endangered Chimpanzees and other primate species and also one of the best birding destinations in Uganda with about 375 bird species.

Detailed safari
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga national park – Kisoro (8-9 hours’ drive)
Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be met by our company representative who will also be your safari guide throughout the trip. He will introduce and brief you about the whole itinerary before you embark on your journey to Mgahinga national park located in Kisoro district in the far south west of Uganda close to the Rwanda and Congo borders. Since it is quite a long drive, you will enjoy en-route stops at the Equator and in Mbarara town which is the largest and urban town in the western part of Uganda for lunch and refreshments. On reaching, Kisoro town in the evening, proceed to your accommodation. Check-in, refresh as you wait for dinner and overnight rest at Lake Mulehe Safari lodge for mid-range/Travellers’ Rest Hotel for budget option
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the ranger guides before entering the forest in your trekking gears including trekking sticks, good hiking shoes and stocking for tacking-in, long sleeved shirts and long trousers and a rain coat or jacket to mention but a few. Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga national park is no different from other trekking parks that is trekking takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas as they roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day however the rangers will be able to find them as they tracked daily. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour as you view and take photos of these gentle primates before you descend back to meet your driver/guide on your Uganda Safari.
You will proceed to Buhoma sector of Bwindi forest which is about 3 hours’ drive from Kisoro. Check-in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Cam for budget/Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park – evening game drive
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your 4-5 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. Reach Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha sector for chances of seeing the tree climbing lions and an evening game drive in Kasenyi area. Dinner and overnight stay at Pumba Safari Cottages for budget/Parkview Safari lodge for budget
Day 4: Lion tracking/morning game drive and boat cruise along the Kazinga channel
After breakfast early morning, go for a lion tracking experience where you are guaranteed to view the lions, enjoy an en-route game drive at the Kisenyi area where you will spot a good number of wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes, and all species of antelopes.
After lunch, proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The boat cruise takes about 2-3 hours for animals like elephants, Hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles. Later evening, connect for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi area. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 5: Transfer to Semuliki national park – Hot springs
Wake up quite early, have breakfast and check-out of the lodge to transfer to Semiliki national park. It’s a 4 hours’ drive with en-route lunch in Fort portal town. Visit the Sempaya hot springs which are the main attractions of Semuliki national park. These hot springs are the largest in Uganda, divided into female and male however they both have a geyser that shoots up from 8 meters holes with a high temperature of up to 100 degrees Celsius. The strength and hotness of the springs are amazing as one can boil eggs and in few minutes, it is ready to eat. Connect to back to Fort portal town and transfer to Kibale national park. Dinner and overnight stay at Isunga Lodge for budget option/Chimpanzee Guesthouse for mid-range option
Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking with your packed food and water. Meet your guide at the head office then enter the rainforest to start searching for the chimpanzee, this will take 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees. On seeing them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.
You will later proceed for an afternoon/evening nature in Bigodi swamp. It’s a 2 hours primate’s walk. Drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge, embark on your journey back to Kampala. It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will either be dropped at a location you advise in Kampala/Entebbe or be dropped at Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
