Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe Airport

Pick up: Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will meet our company represented to transfer you to your booked accommodation in Kampala. If you arrive early, we can go visit the Botanical garden for birding one of the best spotting site and not only that but easily outreach from the Airport. You will arrive at the hotel check in and relax. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Travel to Mabamba Swamp-Birding 

Travel to Mabamba Swamp: Wake up early have breakfast, then travel to Mabamba Swamp which gives excellent birding of the shoe bill plus other bird species such as Lesser Jacana, Papyrus Gonolek, Orange weaver, Black faced Rufous Warbler, Black Egret, Black Crake among other. Lunch.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National park: After birding in Mabamba Swamp be transferred to Lake Mburo with a stopover at the Equator along Masaka road for amazing photography and water experiment and lunch. You will then proceed to Lake Mburo national park. Arrive and check in at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Boat ride on Lake Mburo &Transfer to Bwindi 

Morning Boat ride: Wake up have morning breakfast and then drive to Lake Mburo for your amazing boat cruise provided with rewardable sights of water birds and savannah species such as Yellow billed duck, Greater cormorant, White winged black tern, Green hood hoopoe, Ross’s turaco, Pink backed pelican, Abyssinian ground hornbill, Papyrus yellow warbler, Grey crowned crested crane, African fin foot, Brown chested wattle plover many more.

You will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Arrive at the park early evening check in at the lodge and go for birding in Ruhija where you will be able to spot variety of bird species such as Short Tailed Warbler, Blue headed Sunbird, Green Broadbill and Shelley’s Crimson wing mentioned few. Back to the lodge dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Birding in Mubwindi Swamp transfer to Buhoma to do en-route birding at the neck       

Birding in Mubwindi Swamp: After your morning breakfast, you will go visit Mubwindi Swamp for bird watching and later transfer to Buhoma also for birding en-route at the neck such species to be encountered here include Common Buzzard, Cinnamon-chested Bee-eater, African Shrike-flycatcher Ayres’s Hawk eagle, Red tailed, Grey throated Barbet, Black Bee eater among others. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 5: Half-day birding in Buhoma sector Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Half day birding: After your morning breakfast, go visit Buhoma sector in Bwindi in search of Albertine endemic. Back to the lodge for lunch and check out. Then proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park, you will arrive at the park and check in at your lodge and leisure in the evening at the swimming pool. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 6: Birding in Maramangambo Forest and afternoon Boat cruise 

Birding :You will wake up have your morning breakfast and go for nature walk in Maramangambo forest for your birding encounter where you expect to see several bird species in the forest such as  Greater flamingo ,Papyrus Gonolek ,Red tailed bristle bill African green pigeon ,Bat hawk ,White tailed lark ,Corn cake ,there is possibility of seeing primates like the red tailed monkey ,L’Hoest monkeys ,White and black monkey ,other mammals like Giant forest hog ,Giant elephants shrew ,Pygmy antelopes among others .Return to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon Boat cruise: After having lunch, go on the Kazinga Channel for birding which is best done here on boat ride. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park –Visit Bigondi swamp walk for birding 

Transfer to Kibale Forest National park: Wake up early have morning breakfast and be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park with great rewardable sights of Rwenzori Mountain. Arrive at the park in time for lunch and then check in. After you will go explore Bigondi Swamp area for birding where you will be able to sight see beautiful bird species like Greater Blue Turaco, Hornbills, Parrots, Cranes, Kingfishers other species to see here are Velvet monkeys, black and white colobus, Red colobus, Red tailed monkeys, L’Hoest Monkey, Olive Baboon Grey Cheeked Mangabey. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 8: Short birding in Kibale forest/Return back to Kampala

Short birding: After an early morning breakfast, walk to Kibale forest with a tour guide who will give you a right information about the checklist of birds in this forest. Return back and check out of the lodge. Proceed to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for departure flight.
