9 Days Uganda Classic Safari is an interesting safari that will see you traverse Uganda for over a week visiting the most prominent tourist destinations in the country. This 9 days safari package highlights Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, and Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 1: Entebbe / Kampala – Bwindi
On day 1 of this amazing 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you will be met by our guide on your arrival who will take you through the safari package one more time. After that, he will transfer you to south-western Uganda via the Masaka-Mbarara highway. Enroute you will have a stopover at the Uganda Equator for snacks and exploring of this amazing site. Yo will also take some amazing photographs. Continue and have a stopover in Mbarara town where you will have your lunch at Agip motel or regency hotel. Later continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and on reaching the park, head straight to your lodge where you will have dinner and have an overnight stay at Silverback or Nkuringo/ Mahogany springs.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
Day 2 of the 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari is one of the most interesting safari days that we shall have. Wake up early morning and have breakfast and later meet your guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters where you will receive a short briefing about the gorilla trekking activity. After the briefing, you shall start the gorilla trekking along the tracks. The trekking takes about 2-8 hours depending on where the primates are in the forest. When you meet the gorillas, you will be given 1 hour to spend with the gorillas and after head back to the park headquarters where you meet the guide to take you back to the lodge. Freshen up and have dinner later on and spend the night at the lodge.
Day 3: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 3 will be a transfer day to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy early morning breakfast and set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass by the Ishasha sector of Queen where you will be able to view the tree climbing lions. You will get a chance to see more wildlife like the Uganda Kobs, topi, oribi, buffaloes, elephants. After you will drive to Mweya peninsula for your dinner and an overnight stay at Mweya Lodge
Day 4: Game drive & Boat cruise
Wake up early have breakfast and go for a dawn game drive in the Kasenyi plains sector and the queens’ mile in the park and see animals like Lions, elephants, hyenas, Giant forest hogs, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Hyenas, civets, aardvarks, Leopards, and many more. Return to the lodge after refresh and have lunch. Later on at 2 pm, go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes, Edward and George. On the launch cruise, you will view game like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and birds at the shores. Later on, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Kyambura Gorge – Kibale Forest
Another of the transfer days where you will wake up early morning and have breakfast. Later after breakfast, go for a guided Chimpanzee walk-in Kyambura Gorge to see chimpanzees and other primates white and black Columbus, a wide variety of bird species and a variety of plants. Thereafter, you will be driven to Kibale forest national park which protects the 13 primates and a large variety of bird species at the Magombe swamp. Arrive and have dinner and overnight stay at Kyambura Lodge.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk
Another of the trekking days where you will wake up early morning, take breakfast and transfer to the park offices for a short briefing from the local rangers about the chimpanzee trekking activity. Thereafter you will enter into the forest to search for chimpanzees and you will expect to see other species of primates such as Baboons, Red Columbus monkey, Black and white Columbus monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabeys, Red tailed monkey, Birds like sunbirds, Turaco, pitas and other bird species, butterfly species, etc. Later on, after viewing the primates, have your lunch and later take a leisurely walk to Bigodi/Magombe swamp. Here you expect to view the rare shoebill bird, Sitatunga and other primates. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Kibale Forest – Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early on day 7 of this amazing 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari to make it a week. Enjoy your breakfast and after be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch en-route. On arrival, take an evening photographic game drive safari and view animals like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes among others. Later on, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Paraa Lodge
Day 8: Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Wake up to an authentic breakfast organized by professional chefs on day 8 of the 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari. After breakfast, go for a morning game drive through the northern part of the Murchison falls and see animals like Lions, elephants, hyenas, Giant forest hogs, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Hyenas, civets, aardvarks, Leopards, and many more. Later on, have lunch and go for the boat ride on the River Nile close to the amazing falls. On this cruise, you will spot wildlife like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and birds at the shores. After the cruise return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park-Kampala
Final Day of the 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari. Wake up early and have breakfast. You will cross with the first ferry and be transferred to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the Rhinos on foot. Later on, have lunch and after transfer back to Kampala to conclude the 9 Days Uganda Classic Safari.
