Attractions In Busoga Region : Busoga sub-region is found in Eastern Uganda occupying an area of over 10,000 square kilometers and according to the 2014 national census about 40 percent of the people in the eastern region live in this sub-region. The area covered by the above districts constitutes the traditional Busoga Kingdom. Milton Obote abolished the traditional kingdoms in Uganda in 1967. When Yoweri Museveni re-established them in 1993, Busoga re-constituted itself.The sub-region is habitant and roots for the Basoga tribal group. The people of Busoga are called Basoga The Basoga speak Lusoga, a Bantu language and one of the major Bantu speaking kingdoms in Uganda.

The Igenge palace of the Busoga kingdom, this is residence to the king of the Basoga people, who’s also known as the “Kyabazinga.” It is one of the attractions in Busoga region attractions. It was built in 1965 by then Vice President of Uganda and also Kyabazinga of Busoga Sir Wilberforce Nadiope. Busoga Kingdom palace, Busoga Kingdom is one of four constitutional monarchies in present-day Uganda. The kingdom is a cultural institution that promotes popular participation and unity among the people of the region through development programs to improve their standard of living . The kingdom’s palace is located at kaliro with a beautiful and pulchritudinous amazing view and currently occupied by Kyabazinga of BusogaWilliam Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV
Dolwe Island a Treasure in Busoga, Uganda.Dolwe Island which is the largest of the numerous rocky Islands found on the eastern side on Lake Victoria in Uganda covers an area of approximately 12 kilometers, and it has two major settlements: the Golofa and the Singla. This island has very beautiful rock formations that were naturally piled like storied building and it’s from this that the name Golofa was derived. The people, who have had an opportunity to visit this island on during their holiday in Uganda , will testify to the beautiful scenery and the serenity that lingers around this hidden beauty in Eastern Uganda.

The Buswiikira Site,Found in Mayuge, it’s here that the legendary icons Kintu and his wife Nambi the ‘ancestors’ of the Baganda are believed to be buried so many years ago and it’s believed to be a place of luck and good charm.

Bujagali Falls,Bujagali Falls was a waterfall near Jinja in Uganda where the Nile River comes out of Lake Victoria, sometimes considered the source of the Nile currently it hosts the Bujagali dam a Hydro Electricity Power dam. That attract many tourists throughout the year.
