Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kisoro border town in Uganda.
Upon your arrival on a Congo safari, you guide will pick you from Kigali international airport and drive you to Kisoro boarder town in Uganda, drive past Ruhengeri viewing the beautiful rolling hills reach Chanika border and finalize the arrangements to cross the border and later cross the border into Uganda while in Kisoro, you may a guided nature walks visiting the beautiful lake mutanda shores and viewing several other hills. Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Virunga.
Early in the morning head to Bunagana border with Congo , cross and drive and cross to the park to the Virunga national park headquarters to be briefed about gorilla tracking. You will be taught the does and don’ts involved in in gorilla tracking, be assigned a game ranger and later proceed to the jungles searching for the mountain gorillas. While searching, you will also come across bird and other primate species like the golden monkey, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and the giant forest hog. You will have a maximum of an hour with the primates take photos and interact with them. The entire activity can take you about 8 hours. Later return to Kisoro in Uganda have a refreshment and head off to Kigali and reach in the evening for your flight.
