Kidepo Valley National Park is found in the Northeastern region of Uganda in Kaabong district covering a total surface area of about 1,442 square kilometers. In 1958, Kidepo Valley National Park was first gazette as a game reserve and later, it was established as a national park in 1962 after Uganda acquired its independence.
