Semuliki National Park is under the management of the Uganda Wildlife Authority whose role is to manage all the national parks in the country and fight activities like poaching which lead to the reduction of the number of wildlife species in all protected areas.
Semuliki National Park is located in the Western region of Uganda in Bundibugyo district and it lies within the Albertine Rift. Semuliki National Park is considered to be among the smallest national parks in the country covering about 220 square kilometers and standing at an elevated area which is between 670-760 meters above sea level it is also taken to be among the newest national parks because it was officially published as a national park in 1993.
