4 Days Mgahinga Gorilla & Golden Monkey Safari takes you to the home of both great mountain gorillas and golden monkey tracking. Mgahinga Gorilla national park is one of Uganda’s smallest park but filled with rewardable activities for any outdoor enthusiast and to those interested in hiking, the park is also a home to Virunga Volcanoes shared with Dr Congo and Rwanda. Such Volcanoes include Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhavura where you can enjoy hiking experience from. You can as well visit the Batwa trail in Mgahinga giving you the historic background of how they lived and co-existed with wild animals in this park.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Travel to Mgahinga: Depending on your point of location our professional driver guide will pick you up be briefed about the trip and transfer you to the Kisoro district of Uganda in Mgahinga Gorilla national park which is approximately 9 to 10 hours drives inclusive with stopover for lunch and a visit of Igongo culture centre. You will arrive at the park in the evening, check in at the lodge and rest as you get prepare for the next day gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Gorilla Trekking: You will wake up have your morning breakfast and then be transferred to the park head quarter where you will meet other groups assembled for a briefing about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After go find the ranger guide to allocate you to gorilla family your trek, you must be fit in the body when you can hike long distance depending on the location of the gorillas and after allocating them one hour will be given to you to watch them as they feed, play and picture taking. After trekking, you then descend back to the briefing point with unforgettable experience. Back to the lodge dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking
Golden Monkey Tracking: After an early morning breakfast, your drive guide will transfer you to the briefing point where golden monkey tracking experience can be briefed out from by the ranger guide. Then after you will start hiking Virunga Volcanoes in search of the golden monkeys and there are high chances of seeing wild buffaloes and elephants. You will find them enjoy their exciting stubbornness as they swift in their movement unlike giant gorillas and you will follow them as they feed of vegetables and fruits in the forest. You will be allowed one hour to spend with them as they interact with one another. After back to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 4: Travel back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Travel back to Kampala: After morning breakfast, set back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for geographical experience, photography and lunch. Then proceed to Kampala to be dropped off at your hotel or for your departure flight at Entebbe International Airport.
