5 Days Uganda Budget Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
This 5 days Uganda budget gorilla and wildlife safari consists of two major activities i.e. Uganda gorilla tours, Uganda wildlife safaris and a brief tour of Lake Bunyonyi. The activities will take place at Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Lake Mburo national park respectively. Making it a rich Uganda gorilla tour/ Uganda excursions.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi.
Early in the morning you will be picked up by your guide from you hotel and you drive to south western Uganda via Kampala masaka- Mbarara highway you will have brief stopover at the Nabusanke trading center for the view of the equator statue take a couple of photos and proceed to Mbarara town, there you will have lunch. After lunch continue to south west ward on a scenic drive via Kabale also known as the Switzerland of Africa viewing rolling hills filled with terraces you will reach Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in the evening check at your place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Bwindi gorilla tracking.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will move to the park headquarter, meet the senior guide who will brief you about the dos and don’ts while tracking, later be assigned a guide and a game ranger and move to the forest in search for the endangered mountain gorillas it will take you about 2 -6 hours to meet the gorillas and once you meet them you get excited interact with them for an hour take photos with and later return to you place of accommodation for lunch. After lunch will undertake a community walk to the batwa homesteads you will interact with the locals get to know about their cultures and practices another option could be going to visit river Mayanja waterfalls. Return to your place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi.
Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer from bwindi to lake Bunyonyi one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa characterized with so many small islands and once you reach there, you will do a canoe ride to different islands check out the beauty embedded in the islands not forgetting Bwama +overnight will be at arcadia cottages or Bunyonyi overland camp.
Day 4: Transfer from lake – Lake Mburo national .
Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo national park through a scenic drive viewing the kigezi highlands and when you reach the park you will game drive viewing impalas, kobs, zebras, warthogs, buffaloes, elands. Oribis and water bucks. You will also be position to do a game drive while on quad bikes making it a thrilling one alternatively it can also be done while on a horse. Later in the evening return to place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Accommodation: mantana tented camp or rwonyo tented camp, mihingo lodge for luxury.
Day 5: boat cruise and transfer to Kampala.
Have breakfast and head for morning boat trip on Lake Mburo, you will view two other lakes Kazuma, Lake Bwa. While on the boat cruise, you will be able to see hippos, crocodiles and buffaloes, you will also view bird species such as the crested crane which also happens to be the emblem of Uganda, saddle bill tock. Later after boat cruise you will head back to Kampala stop over for at Mbarara, continue and have another stop over at masaka viewing the equator statue take some photos for memory later continue to Kampala reach in time for your flight.
