Twiga Safari Lodge
Twiga Safari Lodge is a 3-star mid-range accommodation located on the southern bank of the Nile River in the Mubaako Paraa area, just 1 km from the Mubako Gate in the Murchison Falls National Park region of Uganda. The lodge is located just 3 km outside the park, offering stunning views of the Nile River and a serene landscape, making it an ideal place for safaris in Uganda.
How to get there:
It takes about 5-6 hours’ (350km ) drive from Kampala city center to the lodge/park and 40 minutes flight from Entebbe International airport to the close airstrip, then a few minutes to be transferred to the lodge.
About the lodge
Twiga Safari Lodge features over eight spacious and comfortable exclusive cottages that offer views of the Nile River and reflect an African traditional building style while ensuring comfort.
The cottages are well decorated, elevated off the ground on a wooden platform, and furnished with private en suite facilities that include clean flushing toilets, hot and cold showers, solar energy, wooden chairs and tables, mosquito nets, complimentary bottled water, an ironing service, free toiletries, and slippers, among other amenities.
Cottages have sitting areas and terraces overlooking the breathtaking views of the Nile River, wildlife roaming around the lodge and surrounding area.
There is a fireplace at the lodge where guests relax in the evenings as they enjoy the sunset and share experiences about the Uganda wildlife safaris not only that, but it also provides warmth during cold evenings.
Rooms are well equipped with comfortable clean and washed bedding with queen-sized beds, varying in single beds for individuals, double/twin for sharing, and family rooms.

The main building houses a restaurant that serves both continental and African-inspired meals to satisfy guests’ appetites. They offer a buffet breakfast facing the park, a picnic lunch, and a dinner served by well-trained, friendly, and organized staff. You can have meals in the place of your choice, either in the dining area or in the bush (bush breakfasts and dinners), while enjoying the stars in the sky at night.
A well-stocked bar with a variety of drinks, local ,cocktail , wines, spirits and international beers, you relax either in the garden or sip the drink of your choice while overlooking the stunning view over The Nile, Murchison park , wildlife roaming around the camp, especially antelopes, Uganda kobs, zebras, buffaloes, etc.

Activities to do while at the village: Game drive since the park has a wide range of animals like Elephants, zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, antelopes, impalas etc ,Birding /bird watching since the park has abundant bird species; you can be able to see most of the animals while on a Boat cruise on the River Nile; nature walks in the park; and visiting local villages, especially the karamajong .

About the park
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest, oldest, and most visited park in the northeastern part of Uganda, located in Amuru. It was formerly called Kabalega national park. The park stands on the shores.
The park stands on the shores of lake Albert home of scarce shoebills stork occupying the total area of 3,840 km squared. The park contains over 78 species of mammals, including the Big five animals like; Rhinos, Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, antelopes, Impalas, zebras and over 450 bird species, like water birds, savannah birds, Albertine endemic birds, etc.
The park has different accommodations in Budget, mid- range and luxury that are convenient and friendly to guests visiting the park. There are different activities to do while in the park include; Game drive ,you spot different mammal species since the park has more animals, Boat cruise/Launch cruise along the Nile that gives the exciting panoramic view of the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls and enables guests to spot different aquatic animals like Hippos ,Crocodiles at the river banks , water birds etc , Hiking on the top of the falls, Hot air ballooning in the park , chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest , Bird watching /Birding at the delta since the park has many bird species , Nature and forest walks in budongo forest , community visits to the local villages that encourages cultural experience mention but a few.
