History about Sezibwa River

Sezibwa is considered as a twin river (wasswa) with the twin brother (kato) mubeya all originate from kawuna sometimes called kawomya in Buikwe-Ngogwe sub-county.   It is said that sezibwa’s mother was Nakangu tebatesa and the father was Nsubuga sebwato. after birth, wasswa found his way to the present sezibwa falls where he had been jammed but due to strong mystical back grounds, he did pierce the rocks at sezibwa. or sizibilwakubo factually meaning “he who can never be blocked” thus creating the name Sezibwa. Because of the force from the water diffusion by wasswa, the rocks were collided and broken to smithereens and they can still be seen today.
