Bird species to encounter on safari include; White-browed sparrow –weaver, Swamp flycatchers, Pia piac, Red-throated bee –eater, Palm-nut vulture, Malachite kingfisher, Eastern grey plantain-eater, Giant kingfisher ,Giant Kingfisher ,Silver bird ,Shoebill ,Squacco heron among others . the best birding time is during wet season when food is in abundance starts from April to May and August to October. Migratory birds are present from November to April.
Chimpanzee tracking
Chimpanzee tracking starts early in the morning with a short briefing at the meet point and then after hike into the forest with the guide who leads you to their location and once you locate them one hour is given to spend with them learn about their life style, behaviors, feed play. In Murchison falls national park chimpanzee tracking experience can be done in Budongo forest.
