Kasenyi Plains are part of the most visited national park in Uganda wildlife tours famously known as Queen Elizabeth National park which is located in Kasese district in the south western region of Uganda. The flat plain is about 48 kilometers by road from the southeast of Kasese town. However, Kasenyi plains are commonly known as a home for wild animals yet it also supports a beautiful variety of savannah birds such as Yellow-throated long crow, grey crown cranes and red throat spur flow and many more. Accessibility: Since Kasenyi plains is located within Queen Elizabeth National Park which is found in the western region of Uganda and Kasenyi plain sits in the northeastern part of the park also known as Mweya or Kasenyi sector. The park can be easily accessed from Kampala Uganda’s capital city by road within 5 to 6 hours. Alternatively, a traveler can decide to fly to and from Entebbe International Airport using a charter flight to Kasenyi Airstrip which can last for only 1:15 hours by Air.
