Below are some of the Uganda’s game reserves to visit.

Ajai Wildlife Reserve
The Ajai wildlife reserve is located at the edge of the Albertine Nile in north western Uganda in Arua districts. However, the reserve covers 166 square kilometers of land that contains grass plains, sparse savannah woodland and swamps which describes the sites topography. It’s a rewardable site for birding and some of bird species to see include; African Fish eagles ,Marabou stock ,Grey-crowned cranes among others .Other activities to do here are the nature walk and game drives where you will be able to spot a glimpse of the Uganda Kob ,warthogs ,hippos ,leopards ,oribis ,Crocodiles ,python snakes ,waterbucks ,sitatunga , buffaloes , Common duiker .primates can also be viewed here such as Olive baboon ,black and white colobus and vervet monkeys these species can be seen while on nature walk. They have feature plan of re-introducing Rhinos and the Nile buffaloes and the history shows that the reserve was originally home to white rhino.

Bokora Corridor Wildlife Reserve
The Bokora Corridor Wildlife Reserve lies in North-Eastern Uganda in the Karamoja Sub-region and got its name from the ethnic group of the Bokora people. This reserve covers a total land of 2056 square kilometers. Birding is more attractive here which can be done awesome while at Loporokicho swamp ,hikes to Mount Kadam and nature walks and bird species to encounter include Ostrich dusky turtle dove ,Eastern bronze –Napped pigeon ,Grey cuckoo shrike ,Hartlaubs turaco ,African Hill babbler ,Alpine chat ,Jackson’s Hornbill ,Mountain Yellow-warbler ,Black-throated wattle-Eye ,Lemon dove ,White-headed buffalo-weaver and Thick-billed honey Guide many more to see .While on game drive viewing you’re able to spot Rothschild giraffe ,Spotted ,Hyenas ,Leopards ,Topis ,Oryx ,Oribis ,Cheetahs ,Reedbucks ,stripped hyenas ,Uganda kobs ,Lesser Kudu ,Buffaloes ,Lions ,Zebras ,Roan Antelopes and Elands thus Uganda Game Reserves.
Bugungu Wildlife Reserve
This reserve is located between the Bellisa and Masindi districts at the base of the rift valley escarpment to the western part of Murchison Falls National Park. Bugungu reserve sits on land covering over 473 square kilometers and a home to more than 600 Uganda Kobs, over 1,200 Oribis and 240 species of birds many more. The reserve boosts with attractive maintained trails that allows visitors a chance to enjoy a game drive, nature walks and other amazing activities like community walk, camping and bird watching.
Kabwoya wildlife reserve
The Kabwoya wildlife reserve is found along the western rift valley trail between Murchison Falls national park and Kibale Forest national park. This reserve covers 87 square miles that sits in the Albertine rift valley region. So close to Lake Albert where fishing activity is the most done and Nile perch is most caught fish species here. Activities to do are guided nature walk and nature walk, Mountain biking and Quad biking. Kabwoya reserve id home of unique activities which can engage while on visit here. Karuma Wildlife Reserve
The karuma wildlife reserve is known for its beautiful nature. Home abundance in primate’s life. While on nature walk, you’re able to see a lot of species by your own sights such as Olive baboons, Black and White colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and L’Hoest monkeys. Karuma reserve is also home to wildlife animals such as Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Oribis, antelopes. leopards ,Rothschild among others. Karuma wildlife reserves is positioned in Kiryandongo district.
Katongo wildlife reserve
This reserve sits at the edge of River Katongo a home to over 40 mammal’s species. Animals to see include Sitatunga antelopes, African elephants. Uganda kobs , Elephants ,Reedbucks ,Uganda kobs .River otter ,waterbuck among others. Activities to do here are birding, canoe ride. Due to the developed road network it has made it easy to access the park and explore the ark on foot.

Kigezi Wildlife Reserve.
This reserve is located in the district of Rukungiri in western Uganda and its land covers over 265 square kilometers .Animals to spot here include Kobs ,Buffaloes giant forest hogs ,Bushbucks and Topis and variety bird species .If you have plan to take in Kigezi, you’re advised to carry your own tent since the reserve have no lodges inside thus Uganda Game Reserves.
Kyambura wildlife reserve
It located in southwestern region and best for viewing or tracking chimpanzees. Kyambura wildlife is a water source of the animal species in Queen Elizabeth national park a very rewardable place for wildlife viewing most especially the primates. The area is a home for notable bird species such as African Broad bill, Falcons, African Skimmer, Pink Backed pelicans, white tailed lark among others. Kyambura reserve is a beautiful place for forest walk. It is located to the north east of Queen Elizabeth national park and close to the Kazinga Channel a home of large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles.
East Madi Wildlife Reserve
This reserve is located in northwestern part of Uganda to the north of Murchison Falls national park and it covers a total land of about 831 square kilometers home to over 50 animal species ,181 bird species and 374 plant species thus making rewardable place for nature walk, wildlife viewing and birding. The place is so rewarding with bucket of primates such as Blue monkeys, Vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys.
Matheniko wildlife reserve
The matheniko wildlife reserve is located in Karamoja sub-region northeast of Uganda and ranks as the 5th threatened protected conservation areas in Uganda. Despite the fact that, its home only lesser Kudu, Roan antelopes, Bright’s gazelle and Ostriches and bird species to see include Alpine chat, grey-cuckoo shrike, thick billed honey guide among others. Activities to do here include; birding nature walk, community walk and cultural visits among others.

Toro –Semuliki Wildlife Reserve
The Toro- Semuliki wildlife reserve was gazette in 1926, located between the Kabarole and Ntoroko districts in western Uganda. While on safari here, you can take a boat ride on Lake Albert, do birding and take a hike to Nyaburogo Gorge and a guided primates walk, visit the local community and enjoy traditional dance.
Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve
This reserve is quite a large conservation area that lies in Nakapiripirit district in northeastern Uganda. On visit here, engage in guided nature walks, wildlife safaris, cultural community visits, game drive viewing among others
