7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari is composed of 7 days and 6nights a combined wildlife safari that takes you to northwestern and north-eastern regions in Uganda. These 7days will reward you with a great experience of wildlife, birding, and culture in Kidepo and exploring wildlife species in Murchison falls National park. Note that Kidepo is famously known as the true African wilderness located in north-Eastern part of Uganda approximately 520 km by road from northeast of Kampala Capital city, a home to over 86 mammals species such as wild dog ,leopards , elephants, lions, cheetah ,spotted hyena, zebra, African buffalo, bat-eared foxes ,Rothschild’s giraffe among others and are best explored in Narus valley and Murchison falls national is Uganda’s largest national park covering an area about 34000 square kilometers and is located in northwestern part of Uganda estimating over 283km from northwest of Kampala ,the park inhabits over 76mammals species including waterbucks, warthog, leopards, lions ,elephants, kob,Jackson hurt beast ,duiker many more, over 450 bird species of which some are presented as waterbird species such as rare shoe-billed stork ,dwarf kingfisher ,white thighed hornbill ,dwarf kingfisher great turaco among others.
Highlights of the 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
- Day 1: Kampala to Gulu Town
- Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National park for an evening game
- Day 4: Morning game drive in Narus and Hot spring visit in Kidepo valley
- Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National park
- Day 6: Morning game drive and after noon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Gulu
- Transfer to Gulu: Depending on your location, our drive or guide will pick you up but will first take you through a short briefing about the 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari. Then after you will start the journey while using Gulu high way driving to Gulu town in Northern Uganda. On your way to Gulu, you will decide to have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and engage in Rhino trekking experience or maybe do it on your return journey. Since the journey is quite long you will have a great chance to cross river Nile and Karuma falls before embarking to Gulu town for overnight stay. In order to break off this long journey to Kidepo valley national park which can last 9 to 10 driving hours, you will have to stopover in Gulu town for your overnight, the journey which takes 6 to 7hours from Kampala to Gulu.

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park
- Transfer to Kidepo: You will wake up early in the morning have coffee tea and snacks, drive to kidepo valley National park. The route to kidepo valley is quite rewarding as you will be able to enjoy some spectacular views of the few hills that divide Acholi land and Karamoja, you won’t miss seeing the stunning Manyattas on the way, cross some few seasonal rivers and then arrive at Kidepo valley national park check in to the lodge, have lunch, relaxation and an evening game drive in Narus valley. After relaxation, your driver or guide will drive you to Narus valley for evening game drive where you will be able to explore quite a wide range of mammals such as cheetahs, elephants, wild dogs, zebras, antelopes, giraffes among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day: 3 Game drives in Narus valley
- Game drives: You will wake up early have morning breakfast with delicious snacks, after drive to Narus Valley for your morning game drive. Narus Valley is the best area for viewing a wide range of mammals in the nature savannah habitant of kidepo valley. On your game drive expect to see a variety of mammals such as giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, antelopes, leopards when they are returning back to their hideouts, elephants and opting for various bird species in this area. After the morning game drive back to the lodge and have lunch.
- Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, drive back to Narus valley for the afternoon game drive and view other animals which you missed to see in the morning hours. Since Narus valley is known for being a permanent water point, a number of mammals are seen linking for water and feeding around this area. And it where you will be able to see the largest buffalo herds than you can find anywhere on African safaris. you also have an opportunity of spotting big cats hunting like lions, leopards many more, if you’re lucky you may come across the rare cheetahs too. Return to the lodge which was your first opinion for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive & Evening Visit hot springs in Kidepo valley
- Game drive: You wake early in the morning, have coffee tea, drive back to Narus valley to do more game drive in order to spot wildlife that you could have missed on the two-game drive done earlier on. Remember Kidepo valley national park is a true African wilderness where you will never be disappointed. The park has observation points with binoculars and it will be your decision to use one of them. Then after drive back to the lodge for lunch and rest as you wait for evening activity.
- Hotsprings Tour: After Lunch, you will drive kidepo valley to visit the stunning hot springs which are on the other side of Uganda –Sudan border, if lucky spot the giant Ostriches. After drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
- Transfer to Murchison: After morning breakfast, you will drive from kidepo valley national park to Murchison falls national park a journey that takes 6 to 7 driving hours. Arrive at the northern section of the park where you will be able to enjoy an en-route game drive to an area known as para where you will have a great chance of viewing a number of mammals like the big cats hunting, antelopes many more. After you will cross the ferry to step unto Murchison’s boundary check in to the lodge, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Morning Game drive and evening Boat cruise
- Morning Game drive: You will wake up early for morning breakfast, drive to paraa which is the best spotting area for mammals seen feeding while predators are hunting. Where you won’t miss out spotting herds of elephants, giraffe’s buffaloes, hippos, antelopes and many more. Depending on the time you will have, you may lucky to spot large cats hunting as well. Drive to the lodge for lunch as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise along River Nile.
- Boat Cruise: After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on Victoria Nile and as you will be cruising, you will sightsee different water birds like great turaco, herons, kingfisher among others, water animals such as Crocodiles, hippos as well as other animals can be seen on the water bank linking for water. You can do a hike to the top of the falls and get amazed by the stunning water splash of the fall and after meeting your guide there and drives you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Return to Kampala
- Return to Kampala: On the last day of your 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, you will wake up have breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon. You may probably opt for a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary if you missed it on your first day. After proceed to Kampala to be dropped to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight.
