Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale: Depending on your location, our driver or guide will pick you up from location, brief you about the 3 Days kibale chimpanzee trekking safari and then after, start your journey to Kibale national park famously known as a destination for primitive ‘’chimpanzees’’. You will pass via Mityana and fort Portal with a stopover for lunch and after lunch proceed to the park. Arrive at the park in the evening check-in, rest, dinner and overnight.
Accommodation Option: Kyambura Lodge, Chimps’ Nest, Primate lodge, and Kibale Forest Camp

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking

Chimpanzee Trekking: You will wake up early in the morning, have coffee tea with packed lunch and meet with your driver to drive you to the park headquarter for a short briefing about the rules to be followed while you’re in the natural habitant of Chimpanzee which is a rewarding memorable encounter in a lifetime. After briefing, you will be led by the ranger to take you to the habituated chimpanzees families and as you will be tracking you will be able to see other primates like Lhoest monkeys ,Red colobus ,blue monkeys ,Vervet monkeys and many more, you will also be able to encounter lots of animals like sitatunga ,golden cats ,bush pigs .Mongoose ,duikers many more. Once chimpanzees are found you will spend one hour with them ,as you face to face learn about their lifestyle, how they groom themselves, and you will take photos. This activity last 2 to 7 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Children above below 15 years old are not allowed to engage in this stunning activity. After, chimpanzee tracking drive back to lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Birding at Bigodi swamp & Return to Kampala

Birding at Bigodi swamp: On your day 3 of the 3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Safari, you will wake up, have breakfast at the lodge check out of the lodge, meet your ranger go for birding at Bigodi swampy area a great place for birders. You will arrive at Bigodi swampy for your birding experience walk around as you will be able to spot a variety of bird species since the area harbours with over 138 birds species and such birds to encounter include Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Waxbills, Weavers, Cuckoos, Papyrus Gonolek, Hornbills you can as well spot out animals life bush pigs, Otters, mongooses, webbed toes, bush pigs, sitatunga Antelopes among others.
Departures: After birding drive to Fort portal for lunch and after return to Kampala to be dropped to your hotel or Entebbe Airport.
